Introduction from a vodcaster

Hi. I met some of you at the Saturday convergence for Eric Rice's roadshow. My name's Ed Stastny and I have been videoblogging (vodcasting?) since April this year. You can check out my whatchamacallit (I like "vodcast") at http://bigtimetelevision.blogspot.com ... the proper name is "Big Time TV", named in homage to the pirate TV station on the short-lived Max Headroom television series.

My latest post is a short video about my experience at the Free Geek Street Fair on Saturday.

My background is in web-development. Currently I freelance as a Flash and Perl programmer and I run a non-profit site called SITO.org, a place for artists to post art and participate in collaborative projects. I'm interested in vod/podcasting for a variety of reasons. My passion has always been with independent media. Back in Omaha, I worked on my own fanzine, local papers, the school paper, the school radio station and I produced my own public access show for nearly three years.

Podcastwise... I mostly listen to the movie, science and fandom-type shows. My favorite radio show of all time is "This American Life", though. So I like to think my tastes are eclectic.

See you all at the meetup.
