Welcome!

At the Portland Podcasting Meetup last week, we came up with the idea of a group website/blog/wiki/whatever to extend the feeling the community and sharing of technical knowledge that makes the in-person meetups so awesome. So, here it is.

I started the site, because I run several other blogs on Blogger.com, but this site belongs to you, the Portland Podcasting Community. I'm open to any comments, ideas, or suggestions about what to add here.

More importantly, I want you all to be contributors to this blog, and not just readers. To do that, drop me an email (jabancroft@gmail.com), and ask to be added as a contributor. I'll send you and invite, and once you sign in to Blogger.com (you'll create an account if you don't already have one), you can post here. I wish I could automate the process more, so you could just sign up to post from here, but for now, that's how it works.

In the future, we want to add all kinds of cool things to this site, like a wiki for frequently asked questions, calendar for tracking meetups, etc. All in time. For now, though, you can post your questions and comments about podcasting right here on the front page.
